Using multiple RP-6 central processors in a system
In the event that an installations control requirements exceed the capabilities of a single RP-6 central
processor (ex: controlling ten identical satellite receivers exceeds the infrared routing capability of a single
RP-6 processor), the use of multiple RP-6 processors within a system can infinitely expand the control
options of RTI products. TheaterTouch Designer Programming software allows for the ability to include up
to 256 devices (central processors, in-wall, or handheld controllers). Thus, you could theoretically have a
single remote or in-wall product communicate with up to 255 central processors. In order to do this, you
will need to ensure that the trigger code sent from the handheld or in-wall product is received by each
processor. While each processor connected would receive each trigger code, only the desired processor(s)
will execute the command, based on matching the trigger code sent from the handheld or in-wall product,
with the associated commands stored in each processor. Below are some examples of methods to transfer
trigger codes between multiple RP-6 central processors.

Connect +12VDC, ground, and
signal to RM-433 antenna(s)
*Note that while this example illustrates a trigger code originating from an RM-433 RF antenna, you could
also use this configuration to transfer trigger codes sent from an RTI in-wall product or IR receiver.
